In the fall of 1998 just shy of one year after the break-up of Wide Awake, I was in search of something to fill the void. I had taken a well deserved break from the busy schedule my former band endured, and now had the time to reflect on the past, think about the future and write a bunch of songs.

Being part of a successful musical entity for the past ten years made getting back on my feet a real challenge. Not only did I have to build from the ground up again, but all the musicians that I knew and connected with had moved on to other projects and were not available to share in my new vision. All but one. His name is Joe Anderson.

Throughout my turbulant musical career Joe was always there to lend an ear and give support. Our friendship dates back to grade school were we both shared a strong passion for art and music. Joe was a talented artist as well as being a great drummer. But he was always faced with the frustration of me being in a band that already had a drummer. Being close friends, we made a promise to each other that when the opportunity arose we would be in a band together.
